Love reunites Rihanna and Chris Brown

Weeks ago, Rihanna's face was black and blue. Chris Brown was accused of beating her.
Now they are back to each other's arms. Ah love.

Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the “Umbrella” singer on Feb. 8, a source tells PEOPLE.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s homes.

Three More American Idol Contestants for the final Twelve

Group 2 from the original 36 contestants performed last Tuesday.

Three more singers earned spots in the final 12 on “American Idol,” and for the second week in a row, there were no major surprises among the selections.

Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta were the most popular with the judges on Tuesday, and were also among the most popular with the viewers Wednesday. The third finalist was less of a certainty, but Kris Allen got his news in a way that made his selection easy to predict.

Teen has Heart: Allison Iraheta was the first to earn her spot in the finals Wednesday, not a surprise considering the praise she earned for singing Heart’s “Alone.” The 16-year-old was at a loss for words. “I am just so frigging happy right now,” she said, once she finally got to sit on the stool of safety.

LIZ SMITH PINKSLIPPED BY NY

It is really recession, isn't it? Liz Smith, the 86 year old gossip columnist has to go because the New York Post can no longer afford to pay her salary.

Here is the news:

NEW YORK - The New York Post is dropping Liz Smith’s column this week to save money, leaving the legendary gossip columnist without a newspaper home in the city for the first time in 33 years.

“I’m very sorry that that has come to an end, and that I wasn’t valuable enough for them to keep me on,” the 86-year-old Smith said Tuesday.

Smith said the daily newspaper declined to renew her $125,000 annual contract in a letter that said, “due to economic circumstances, they were the bearer of bad news and so forth.”

But of course, her column is being syndicated in several newspapers.

The First Three Americal IDOL Finalists

Three American IDOL contestants moved to the Final Twelve last night.
They are:
Michael Sarver

Michael Sarver, 27, an oil-rig worker from Jasper, Texas who is afraid of the economy where job is not assured in this time of high unemployment.

Danny Gokey

Gokey, 28, who lost his wife, Sophia, to a congenital heart defect, said he worries that the audience might grow weary of hearing about his tragedy.

According to him:
“It’s only been seven months since she passed,” Gokey said. “It’s not that I throw it in people’s faces but I get asked about it all the time. ... I apologize to everybody if it feels like it’s shoved down their face, but it’s so fresh in my mind.”

Alexis Grace

Grace, 21, a single mom from Memphis, Tenn., whose image is the issue.

She is petite, barely five feet tall, sweet-faced and was advised to take a "dirty look for the audition. She has a a young daughter who watches her on TV.

“I kind of like the whole ’60s soul, cocktail-dress kind of vibe thing,” said Grace, who admitted reluctantly (“Most girls wouldn’t like this question”) to being just under 5-foot-tall and weighing shy of 100 pounds.

SALMA HAYEK WED ON VALENTINE'S DAY

Honestly, I became sad when I read that SALMA HAYEK broke up with the father of her baby. So I am surprised to read the news about her romantic wedding last Valentine's day.

Salma Hayek picked a most romantic time and place to get married: Valentine's Day in Paris. The Mexican-born actress wed French magnate Francois-Henri Pinault in a civil ceremony Saturday at the City Hall in Paris' chic 6th arrondissement, according to an official there.

The wedding was a small affair, said the official, who was speaking on condition of anonymity, in accordance with policy.

Hayek's spokeswoman, Cari Ross, confirmed in an e-mail Monday that the marriage had taken place in Paris Saturday. No further details were provided.

The Octuplet Mom and Angelina

I do not know how far the publicist would go to make a celebrity out of the octuplet mom. Last time i read, the publicist is stepping down because of the death threat.
But this picture comparing Angelina and Suleman must have backfired on whatever image they like to create for the octuplet mom.

Two pouty brunettes, one an Oscar-winning philanthropist and the other a single mother of 14, have captured America’s attention. Now, they share a magazine cover.

Life & Style has heard your worried cries that Nadya Suleman, the Whittier, Calif., woman who recently gave birth to octuplets, is morphing into Angelina Jolie, and has researched the resemblance.

“The similarities between Nadya and Angelina are uncanny,” plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn told Life & Style. “Their brows are almost identical, and they both have nice smooth foreheads.”

Chris Brown is remorseful

Who else is going to defend a son but the father? That's what Clinton Brown, Chris Brown's biological did after his son was arrested for hurting his girl friend Rihanna.

This is from People's.

Speaking out for the first time since his son's arrest, Chris Brown's biological father, Clinton Brown, tells PEOPLE his son is at home, reflective and filled with concern.

"He's reflecting on this situation," Brown, 44, a corrections officer, tells PEOPLE in an interview at his home outside Tappahannock, Va. "He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna's] okay.

Brown says he spoke to his son in person on Feb. 12. "Let's just say he's home," Brown said, though he never offered a specific location. "Just know that he's home. He needed some time to get his thoughts together and regroup."

Calling his son a "lovable young man," Brown says he worries about the public backlash following the allegations of assault his son faces.

"This music industry is very unforgiving when it comes to having indiscretions," Brown says. "He will continue to be a good person. He loves people. And like most of us, most humans, things will occur. And hopefully a person won't be judged simply on that alone."

Like Chris's friends, who have spoken about Brown's easygoing nature, his father says Brown was well liked in school. "He had plenty of friends," he says. "All the kids gravitated to Chris."

As for how he feels about his son, Brown says, "As a father, I couldn't be more proud … He's the light of my life."

And, he notes, as a teenager, he still has a lot of maturing to do. "I think he's [going to] grow as an individual," he says. "He's going to take from this situation and learn from it."

‘Idol’ contestant Joanna Pacitti was disqualified

Joanna Pacitti made it to the final 36 of American Idol but she was disqualified and replaced by Felicia Barton.

She was discovered to be a semi-pro with extensive music background. American Idol fans have been clamoring for her disqualification.

LOS ANGELES - “American Idol” revealed the final 36 contestants vying for this year’s “Idol” crown on Wednesday night. However, one contestant who made the cut has since been disqualified since Hollywood Week took place last fall.

Joanna Pacitti, who had come under fire in earlier rounds after it was discovered she had an extensive music career background, was announced as one of this season’s 36 finalists on Wednesday night. But in a press release from FOX, which was sent out following the show’s broadcast Wednesday night, the network announced Pacitti was ruled ineligible to continue her “Idol” quest.

“It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition,” the statement said. “‘American Idol’ contestant Felicia Barton has replaced Ms. Pacitti as part of the Top 36.”

Kevin Federline wants to be paid for the tour of his sons

Keven Federline wants to get paid for his sons tour with ex-Britney Spears.

Wow, talking about using kids as meal tickets.

Kevin Federline is working with ex-wife Britney Spears so that their young sons can spend time with Spears on tour — but the family togetherness might come at a price.

Federline wants Spears to pay him for each tour date that Jayden James and Sean Preston attend, says a source with knowledge of the ongoing custody negotiations.

The price tag Federline is putting on quality time with mom: as much as $10,000 per city.

Recession Hits Celebrities

Even celebrities are not exempted from effect of recession.

America Ferrera, the star of the "benched" Ugly Betty is selling her $ 1.5 million Hollywood Hills home.

Eva Longoria wore the same outfit twice while Miley Cyrus shopped on the sale rack at a Kitson boutique, picking up $14 T-shirts and a $56 pair of jeans. Britney is driving a Mitsubishi.

Michael Phelps Tried to Prevent the Publication of the His Photo

The Olympic Gold medal Champion, Michael Phelps who was caught taking dope tried to buy his photo and or offered to write a sports column in his attempt to guash the negative
news.

That must be the reason why he published a public apology. News about products he is endorsing are quietly withdrawing the contract.

From MSNBC:

Michael Phelps wasn’t totally taken by surprise when the News of the World published a photo of him using what appears to be a bong at a party at the University of South Carolina last November.

According to a source close to the photo deal, Phelps, like many celebrities before him, attempted to get the photo off the market, but he was quite obviously unsuccessful.

“There was an effort to purchase it, there was even talk of him writing a sports column as well for a period of time to in exchange for not running it," the source said. "But the News obviously knew what it had on its hands. They weren’t going to play ball.”

Ugly Betty takes a break?

I was surprised when I saw another rerun of Ugly Betty episode last Thursday. It is a pity that this good show is going to be temporarily benched.
But with Fox' Bones on the same timeslot, it is really to be a downhill battle for viewership.

‘Betty’ takes a break
A quick update from the TV death watch: ABC continues to assure us that "Ugly Betty" won't be canceled despite an announcement that the show will soon be benched temporarily.

“Samantha Who?” and “In the Motherhood” will take "Betty's" time slot beginning March 26.

“Ugly Betty is fine,” assures one ABC publicist. “It’s a testament to the series that they are using its timeslot to try to launch a comedy block. It will be back on the schedule.”

No word on exactly when, though.
