I agree with Len that Kristi is a little stiff in some numbers. If Cristian is voted in to join the Finals, it will be a very exciting showdown.

Father of American Idol Hopeful banned from dress rehearsal

I like DAVID ARCHULETA. He has all the chances to win the American Idol this season. What I do not like is the father. Since the start of the competition, there had been rumors that he is a Stage father. It reminds me of a friend whose daughter's singing career never took off because he's meddling.

It seems the father of David is also guilty of being meddlesome. The latest one was including in the song arrangement of his son's chosen song or shall I say, the song that he chose for his son. This was reported to Associated Press by some people who liked to remain anonymous.

Indiana Jones Forever

I've got the collection of the Indiana Jones movies. Yehey. My favorites are Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom where Director Steven Spielberg's future wife, Kate Capshaw, became the archaeologist's love interest. I also like his little boy sidekick who is now all grown up.

Then there is also Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where Sean Connery starred as Dr. Henry Jones Sr., suddenly goes missing while pursuing the Holy Grail. Indy came to search and recue his father from the Nazis. I like the acting combination of these two great actors.

But wait, the next sequel entitled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a continuation of the first movie Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark where Karen Allen was his love interest.

Whoa, I do not remember so much about this first movie so I have to watch the DVD again. Sort of a review since the sequel will pick up where they left off decades ago.

That is what I thought . That Mariah Carey would not get married without prenup.

Mariah apparently told a mutual pal of ours: "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a prenup is smoking something!"

True, true. After that publicized divorce settlement between Paul McCartney and his ex-wife Heather Mills where the latter was awarded 50 million dollars plus annual allowance for the child, what celebrity would not think of protecting their financial assets in case marriage gets broken.

LINDSAY LOHAN IN UGLY BETTY-SHE BETTER BE GOOD

I like LINDSAY LOHAN in the remake of the PARENT TRAP in 1998. I did not see the version of the movie which starred my mom's favorite Hayley Mills.

I like her freckles and her mischievous but sweet smile when she was making life miserable for the bride-to-be, Meredith (Elaine Hendrix) of her father Nick Parker (Dennis Quaid) until hell broke loose for this child actress while she was in the transition from being a cute kid to a wild blonde bombshell Hollywood star involved in controversies like her drug rehabs, her sexcapades with kiss-and-tell new male friends and wild partying.

I avoided articles about her. I thought she is becoming self-destructive. She competes with Britney Spears in negative write-ups. Gosh what a waste of talent.

I got mixed reaction when I read that she is going to guest at my favorite popular sitcom, UGLY BETTY.

I thought that this is a good move of her pr machinery to swing her sagging career up.

UGLY BETTY is a multi-award winning sitcom and is watched by millions . But she better be good. All the characters there from AMERICA FERRERA to Freddy Rodriguez who has a recurring guest star as Gio are worth watching.

According to ABC, Lindsay Lohan will join the cast of ABC’s hit comedy “Ugly Betty,” as a high school classmate of Betty.

Her role is that of a mean character. EXCITING.

Will she beat Wilhelmina, Marc and Amanda in ONE-BROW-RAISING.

MONEY AND ITS SOUND -I SIGNED UP

It is not a movie contract, silly but I will be making money too.

Money makes the world go round, the world go round…That is one line in a song made famous by the movie CABARET which starred LIZA MINNELI, MICHAEL YORK AND BOB POSSE. Although at that age when I watched it, I did not understand what the story is all about, I did like the word money and the sound it made… CLINK.

So when my blogger-friends encouraged me to monetize my entertainment blog which I dedicated to my vice as a couch potato watching old movies, reality TV and TV SERIES reruns or new episodes, I heard that sound again…CLINK.

And LO and Wow, when I clicked the link of the Pay Per Post from my friend’s blog, I told myself, what am doing? There are people who are making a lot of CLINK, CLINK sounds by signing up with PPP long before I have heard about it. One top money earner made US $ 20,000 a month. WOW and WOW. I will become deaf if I hear the sounds of a lot of this money.

So, I signed up. Why not? I am spending a lot of time, watching the dance and song competitions; waiting for the nice and not so nice comments from the judges and waited in bated breathe who is going to be kicked out for the night and what do I get in return? Some treat from a friend who tries to use her crystal ball against mine and challenge me to predict who will be shedding tears as they dance the last dance pr who sing the last song. Sometimes, I lose, sometimes I win but no changing of money from her hands to mine.

I am glued on TV as I watch my favorite detective series, suspense thrillers, munching some potatop chips while I guess if the butler did it or the mentally deranged nanny or even the possessive billionaire husband. And what do I get? Some extra pounds from eating junk foods as I try to stay awake until the detective makes a summary. *heh*

So my cat and I made an agreement, she will type in my laptop as I watch TV dictating to her what to write.




Anyway, when I earn enough to make a trip, she will be my companion. Besides, she shares in my junk food too.

So let the money keep flowing.

This is the moment to watch. never mind my dinner. It can wait. But my cat can't. So there he goes with the fish while I wait for the result.






Ryan Seacrest announced that they received 51 million votes last night.The four finalists sang together for the first number.



Last night's selected clips of each contestant were shown.

First to be called is David Archuleta. After asking some questions to David, Ryan said that he is comfortably safe.

Commercial break...

After the commercials, the video of the special treat to the top four by flying them to Vegas was shown.

Lucky four.


Ryan Seacrest next called David Cook. He was told that he made it to the top. Am I surprised?

Now it is between Syesha and Jason Castro.

If the viewers agreed with the judges, Jason will be leaving for tonight.

If he is still supported by his fans, then it will be Syesha who's going to be kicked out.

Dancing with the Stars-THE RESULTS and the 100 the Episode

Lucky me,(groan) I am switching channels as I watched American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

Tonight, the Dancing with the Stars is celebrating the 100th episode aside from announcing the result for last night's elimination round.

It started at eight o' clock rather than its usual time of nine ET.

I found out that the first hour was spent on judges' countdown of their favorite dances. Video clips of the past five seasons were presented and reviewed. Yey, I can skip them and go to American Idol.

It all came down to one favorite dance fo the judges. The choice was not even a winner. He is Mario Lopez of Season 3, whose partner Karina Smirnoff became his girl friend. The dance was tango. It was dubbed as perfect tango.

The second hour was the real celebration attended by former dance contestants.

The first to perform are the Season 4 winners, Julianne Hough and Apolo Ohno aided by Rascal Platts.

Short interviews were made by Tom to the past dancing professionals and celebrities who graced the show's past episodes. I saw Lisa Rinna, Jerry Springer and Joey Fatone. I did not recognize Vivica Fox. Nahh, George Hamilton was not there. Someone said that he's busy.

Season three runner up, Mario Lopez was not only there as a guest but he also performed along with the Broadway, Chorus Line.

A slim Mel B also performed with Maksim.

APOLO OHNO When asked of his opinion as to who is going to win, he admitted that he was biased to the two athletes, Kristi and Jason. But of course.

Drew Lachey on the other hand picked her former partner Cheryl and Cristian. But of course.

The result

There was not much time left so the dancers were spared from long suspense.

The night's big surprise was the announcement that Marissa and Toni were safe.

Why is it a big surprise? Because they are at the bottom of the leader board and the judges were not too generous with their comments.

The next declared safe are Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark. It is but expected.

The next whose names were called as safe Cristian and Cheryl which leaves Jason Taylor and Mario at the bottom two.

Then the last announcement...the partners who are safe are Jason Taylor and Edyta.

So Karina and Mario are leaving tonight.

Before dancing their last dance, Mario thanked the judges and mentioned about the young people fighting in the war.

I do not know if this guy is interested to win or not. Is he too confident that he will make it to the finals or he thinks that there is no way by which he will win.

Two weeks ago, when the contestant who is at the bottom two is going to be announced, his looks showed that he was certain, he was the guy. He was surprised that he was declared safe by Ryan Seacrest.

I bet the finals will be between the two Davids. The first David is David Cook.

His first song was Hungry like the Wolf.

randy: Okay song choice and excellent performance
paula: I see you flourish throughout the contest; I think the song is a good choice.
simon: It was a little bit copy cat. I think it was good.

What's your opinion, cat?


Cat: Let me hear the second song.

The second song is “Baba O’Riley,” . Frankly, I have not heard the song. But that's me. Musically challenged.

I cannot even understand what the judges really mean about the comment which I took note below:

Costumes of the Dancing with the Stars

Did you ever wonder who designs the costumes of the Dancing with Stars' contestants?

I've always admired and swooned to the costumes of the dancer celebrities and professionals. Having a cousin who worked with a fashion designer, I know how much effort is put in sequined skimpy attires of Cheryl Burke and Edita Sliwinska among others.

The last to dance tonight are Cristian dela Fuente and Cheryl Burke.



I admire Cristian for deciding to continue despite the arm injury. I like Cheryl and her choreography. They chose two dances, tango and samba.

While drinking my nth cup of tea, I crossed my fingers and hoped that it will be all's well for the two.

For the first round, here are the stats:

Dance 1 : TANGO

Carrie : I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TANGO-10
Len: GREAT JOB WITH THE CHOREOGRAPHY-9
Bruno: THAT WAS VERY GOOD TANGO-9

So for the first dance, they got a total score of 28. I was hoping it would be 29. But well...

At this point, back to the first pair of dancers. Kristi and Mark.



The second round is more challenging. With Kristi and partner having a grand total of 55 after the last dance, Cheryl and Cristian need only three nines to tie up with them. Higher than that, they have the chance to grab the top spot in the leader board.

Len: IT WAS FULL OF ENERGY-9
Bruno: IT WAS FABULOUS-10

Len, once again is stingy with his one point to give them a perfect score of 30. For the second dnace, they got 29, bringing their grand total to dyaraaaaan (drum roll please) 57.
