Rosie O'Donnell's dream of bringing back the television variety show was dashed.Her NBC special the night before the Thanksgiving holiday attracted a meager audience of 5 million viewers. That was ranked 81st among the prime-time shows in Nielsen Media Research's weekly ranking released Tuesday.
The show was widely considered a test drive: if it intrigued audiences, an O'Donnell variety show could be a potential series.
